Job Description Job Description Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Radiology Technician for a travel job in Rochester, New York. This individual will be responsible for producing high quality X-ray images by conducting exams in a safe and efficient manner. Verifies and follows referring providers' orders while remaining in compliance with the Imaging Sciences departmental policies. Possesses a sound understanding of human anatomy as well as x-ray positioning and the use if immobilization devices when warranted. Key Responsibilities: Prepares room and patient per order, properly sets up equipment, position patients, and determine proper exposure factors in order to produce a high quality image. Utilizes electronic patient information systems to verify patient name, date, appropriate exam, and any special exam specific comments from the provider. Understands and practices the Dual patient identifier procedure. Produces a diagnostic, high quality image for interpretation by the Radiologist. Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly. Transfers patients to and from imaging tables using assistive devices such as ARJO lift, transfer boards, hover mats. Maintains appropriate supplies in the x-ray rooms. Completes and bills for studies accurately. Qualifications: Completion of formal training in an approved school of Radiologic Technology required Maintains current NYS licensure and ARRT Certification required in compliance with NYS regulations Minimum 2 years of experience BLS (AHA/ARC) Experience using C-Arm/O-arm in the past 8 months Hours: Monday-Friday - Days.
