Medical Laboratory Technician Location: Rochester, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,893 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 8 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Medical Lab Technician Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Medical Lab Technician Duration: 8 weeks with possible extension Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours (22:00 - 08:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: New York license required in hand Certifications: ASCP preferred Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience required - Experience in a hospital clinical laboratory Description: Must have a New York license in hand. This position requires a specialty in Medical Lab Technology. The shift is 4x10 hours, from Saturday to Wednesday, 21:00 PM to 08:30 AM. Candidates who are within a 75-mile radius will not be considered. First-time travelers are accepted. Experience in hospital clinical laboratories is essential. Candidates should have skills in collecting specimens, analyzing test results, and ensuring quality assurance and controls. Experience with various laboratory tests and procedures is necessary, including hormone testing, tumor markers, and therapeutic drug monitoring. The role involves using automated instruments and performing manual differentials. Candidates should be knowledgeable about hazardous materials and safety protocols. This position may require candidates to float to different areas as needed.
