We will not discriminate against applicants with regard to any legally-recognized basis including, but not limited to: veteran status, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital status, sexual orientation, and physical or mental disabilities.----From your PASSION to oursSummary: The role of CDL Yard Driver is responsible for facilitating the day-to-day activities of yard operations in order to provide a safe and effective way of transporting Lactalis products to and from our distribution centers.From your EXPERTISE to oursKey responsibilities for this position include:Conduct movement of trailers in yard and to off-site storage local locations.Maintain adherence to all safety programsSupport the truck maintenance schedulePerform and log yard tasks using the yard management system and in-cab tabletsSupport required yard audits to ensure that equipment is functioning properly and that product temperatures are maintainedDemonstrate commitment to a safe working environment that promotes the health and wellbeing of all employees and that will further contribute to the Company s overall performance and success.--Travel and/or extended or off work hours may be required.This description reflects management s assignment of essential functions, it does not proscribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.To fulfill these responsibilities, tools such as a computer, phone, and/or allowance(s) may be provided.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these Essential Duties and Responsibilities.RequirementsFrom your STORY to oursQualified applicants will contribute the following:Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 2 years of verifiable experience in transportation and/or commercial driving (previous yard experience preferred)CDL-A license requiredClean MVR (driving record) and ability to complete pre-hire DOT drug screening & DOT physicalSkills / AbilitiesAbility to climb in and out of a commercial vehicle and operate in a safe mannerAbility to operate commercial vehicles, maneuvering at varying speeds and in difficult situations such as inclement weather or tight loading dock areasWorking knowledge of refrigerated trailers and reefer operations preferredAvailability to work a flexible schedule that can be up to 12 hours daily. Preferred flexibility to work either days, nights, including ----------weekends
