Position Overview:
- This position will interface with senior leaders and will
require excellent communication skills along with a strong
knowledge of new and emerging technology trends, and the practical
application of those trends for strategic use.
Responsibilities:
- Documents, visualizes, and articulates overall technical
health, current and target states of Enterprise Architecture, in
collaboration with senior leadership at an enterprise level.
- Leads the development of roadmaps with senior leadership for a
targeted domain / function, and connects them with the broader
Enterprise technology landscape, including alignment to industry
Enterprise Architecture standards, building a pathway to achieve
target state goals.
- Leverage expertise in technical and business strategy to
collaborate with Senior Technology leaders of various domains to
support strategic decision-making.
- Provide consultation services to improve domain technology
delivery and operational efficiency.
- Own and drive the Enterprise Architecture governance process
and influence decision making for senior technology leaders by
leveraging research and fact-based recommendations for various
domains.
- Influence senior technology leaders' decision-making by
synthesizing research and fact-based recommendations from
Enterprise Architects to support the domain in the Enterprise
Architecture governance process.
- Provide thought leadership and build strong stakeholder
partnerships to articulate current state, target state and roadmap
of a given domain.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies to lead the partnership with
delivery teams and domain leadership on architecture areas to
include business, application, data, Cloud/infrastructure,
security, integration, operations and support, in preparation for
S3/S4 meetings and Architectural Review Board meetings.
- Research, understand and apply existing, new, and emerging
technologies and trends to determine their potential impact on
technology domains.
- Translate the enterprise's technology future-state architecture
vision into principles, guidelines, standards, and patterns to
ensure alignment with broader strategic goals.
- Identify and communicate opportunities and approaches for
solving domain problems that may include new products, new
platforms, or system enhancements to domain leadership.
- Create and maintain reference materials for use by the
technical delivery team to ensure consistent and compliant
solutions for Enterprise Level Architecture Patterns.
- Drive the planning and design of strategic initiatives that
require architecture oversight and guidance.
- Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory
standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's
Risk Appetite.
- Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to
management.
- Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the
bank brand.
- Maintain internal control standards, including timely
implementation of internal and external audit points together with
any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant work experience, or
in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 13 year's higher
education and/or relevant work experience.
- Experience negotiating, influencing, and achieving alignment
with senior technology and business leaders.
- 9 or more years of experience in developing and integrating
applications using relevant software architecture principles and
patters.
- Broad technical experience and understanding of multiple
disciplines, including Hybrid Cloud architecture approaches, Azure
IaaS, PaaS, container strategy, serverless compute, storage,
migration approaches, FinOps, and automation on the Cloud.
- Experience with automation and orchestration, infrastructure
and operations, enterprise integration, application architecture,
cybersecurity architecture with respect to Hybrid Cloud and
external hosting best practice.
- Experience in driving and delivering innovation within the
realm of Cloud.
- Experience in utilizing architectural frameworks.
- Experience working with enterprise architecture tools.
- Experience in architecture modeling to strategically plan
capabilities within domains.
- Work experience in software engineering, software delivery and
solution architecture.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in business or technical discipline.
- Certification and experience working with Cloud technologies
and vendors.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Certification in enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Experience working in the financial services industry.
- Experience working in three or more technical roles related to
banking technical design and roadmap planning.
- Experience in banking, application, data, Cloud and
infrastructure, cybersecurity, and integration architecture.
- Experience in driving and delivering innovation opportunities,
within the realm of banking, to senior leadership.
- Broad technical experience and understanding of multiple
disciplines, including Hybrid Cloud architecture approaches, Azure
IaaS, PaaS, container strategy, serverless compute, storage,
migration approaches, FinOps, and automation on the Cloud.
- Experience with automation and orchestration, infrastructure
and operations, enterprise integration, application architecture,
cybersecurity architecture with respect to Hybrid Cloud and
external hosting best practices.
- Demonstrate solid understanding of technical cybersecurity that
protects the organization's assets; awareness of cybersecurity
policies, network cybersecurity, data cybersecurity, and
cybersecurity event management to adopt Cloud cybersecurity
services.
- Knowledge and understanding of industry patterns for
application architecture and integration
- Excellent problem solving.
- Broad IT platform and application expertise.
- Excellent understanding of strategic and new and emerging
technology trends, and the practical application of existing, new,
and emerging technologies.
