The Industrial Electrician will safely and effectively execute electrical systems repairs on industrial equipment. Use in-depth knowledge of motors, indicating systems, transformers, switchboards (low voltage), motor controllers, circuit breakers, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and other electrical equipment essential for production performance in a manufacturing facility to troubleshoot and repair machinery.Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment and systems for emergency repairs.
  • Works from schematics, drawings, layouts or other specifications to install and test electrical systems or equipment
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance Systems tests and inspections, documenting results.
  • Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.
  • Uses test instruments to determine faults and replaces components
  • Work with a range of hand tools including electrical test equipment.
  • Determine which machines, techniques, and tools to use when moving equipment and completing jobs.
  • Assists specialists and engineers in making complex repairs.
  • Comply with all plant safety directivesQualifications/ Experience:
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment as part of a 12-hour shift crew.
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience as an electrician or similar role where electrical experience was gained (ie Electromechanical Technician)
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with good applied mathematical skills.
