Job DescriptionOVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:Directs the activities of a recognized multiple shift fabrication in performance of complex assembly.RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:

• Provides direction, development and leadership to all direct reports ensuring effective employee relations.
• Participates in labor negotiations and grievance procedures at appropriate steps.
• Coordinates through subordinate supervisors all activities in the Plant which relates to the production, storage and distribution of products.
• Coordinates with the Purchasing Coordinator on all Raw Material purchases needed by the Plant.
• Coordinates and maintains all scheduling functions in the Plant.
• Responsible for submission of yearly Manufacturing Budgets.
• Coordinates with Plant Manager, Human Resources, Technical and Maintenance regarding Plant issues, concerns and problems as it relates to production, equipment or employees.
• Reviews and maintains necessary product levels at other locations and all Consignment Warehouses.
• Coordinates all requested information from CCR's, District and Regional Managers or any other Habasit employee.
• Responsible for Inventory and works to maintain acceptable levels.
• Responsible for Raw Material Costs domestically or international with support from other employees.
• Actively seeks improvement opportunities to increase production, maintain good Customer satisfaction and reduce costs on a daily basis.
• Maintains and supports all Company Goals as it relates to Safety, Quality, Production and Costs.
• Supports Technical and Engineering requests for Product Development or Improvement opportunities.
• Balances safety, quality, productivity, cost, morale, orderliness and improvements in order to achieve positive results.
• Maintains existing and/or added departmental areas and equipment with regards to 5S principles and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Responsible for ensuring payroll and timesheets are completed and submitted on-time and for ensuring all paid time off is maintained for all direct reports.
• Responsible for coordinating and/or preparing performance reviews for all direct reports.

  • Preferred – Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or Equivalent
  • Preferred – Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience in manufacturing/production
  • Preferred – Minimum of 3 years experience in a leadership role
  • Preferred – Experience with Lean Manufacturing techniques
  • Preferred – High Competency with Process Improvement
  • Preferred – High Competency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM Applications
  • Preferred – Experience in Inventory/Materials Management
