Location US-New York-Orchard Park Date Posted 22 Nov 2021 Eaton Mission Systemsformerly Cobham Mission Systems is seeking an IT Helpdesk Analyst for their Orchard Park, New York facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing 2nd/3rd line support for applications including but not limited to Microsoft Windows, Office, Project, Visio, Active Directory, and Remote Desktop Services. Key Responsibilities: Provide 2nd/3rd line support for applications including but not limited to Microsoft Windows, Office, Project, Visio, Active Director and Remote Desktop Services. Troubleshoot and manage collaboration applications such as WebEx and Skype for Business Plan and coordinate comprehensive testing of new applications and or upgrades Resolve complex issues across applications Execute logical and complex troubleshooting methods Provide IT support via telephone, remotely or in person for the resolution of software, hardware or network issues, in line with service level agreements for technical issues and either resolve or escalate as appropriate Liaise with external third party support teams to resolve issues to a successful conclusion, as necessary Interface with other IT Service teams where required, to resolve/escalate issues Assist with IT related projects and travel to other Cobham regional sites, as required. Minimum Requirements : An Associate's Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) along with 3 - 5 years of experience in an Enterprise environment Experience in desktop and mobile technologies Preferred Qualifications : Advanced degree ITLT IT Service Delivery certification would really STAND OUT Excellent working knowledge of collaboration applications such as WebEx and Skype for Business Web development utilizing Visual Studio IDE Experience in MS SQL and MySQL databases Plan and coordinate comprehensive testing of new applications and or upgrades Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and Command Shell Ability to initiate and monitor actions to investigate and resolve problems in applications, systems, processes and services. Execute logical and complex troubleshooting methods. Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures. Assist with the specification, development, research and evaluation of application standards. Applies these standards to resolve or escalate issues and gives technical briefings to staff members. Following agreed procedures, identifies, registers and categorizes incidents. Gathers information to enable incident resolution and promptly allocates incidents as appropriate. Maintains records and advises relevant persons of actions taken. Acts to highlight and resolve potential instances of unauthorized assets such as unlicensed copies of software Implement stakeholder engagement/communications plan. Deal with problems and issues, manage resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned and the collection and dissemination of relevant information. Collect and use feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure effectiveness of stakeholder management. Help develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships.
