The OpportunityAs a member of our Data Solutions team, the Site
Reliability Engineer (SRE) will lead the effort to ensure Delaware
North's distributed data platform (Data Lake) is reliable and
robust, by making the three pillars of observability a core tenet
of all of our systems and processes.
Our Stack includes AWS resources such as Lambda, EBS and S3, Apigee
API Gateway, Python, Django, Apache Airflow and MongoDB. We
continue to evaluate and leverage new and emerging technologies in
Work with Architects to establish site reliability roadmaps and
Lead projects from design & documentation through delivery.
Analyze performance bottlenecks, system faults and incident reports
and develop technical mitigation strategies to maintain high levels
of system resilience.
Work with Architects to identify technical changes to ensure
reliability and performance. Identify and evaluate new solutions to
aid in this process.
Work with Architects to establish standards and best practices in
development and deployment processes that align with site
Work directly with Levels 1 & 2 support to identify operational
concerns and provide tooling to empower these resources to resolve
reported incidents without escalation.

Open to remote candidates (would need to be able to travel to
Buffalo quarterly, at a minimum)
Minimum Bachelor's degree plus 5 years professional experience with
Database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, file-based).
Configuration and operation of monitoring solutions (Datadog or
Microservices and serverless infrastructure.
Unit and integration testing.
Continuous integration and deployment tools and methodologies.
Nice to have
Familiarity with cloud computing, analysis & implementation
experience (bonus if it relates to Amazon Web Services
Experience working with Agile methodologies
Proficiency with Unix/Linux
