REQUIREMENTS:NYS License in either:PsychoanalystClinical social
workerMarriage and family therapistMental health counselorMaster
social workerPossess knowledge of child welfare and Office of
Children and Family Services programming.Knowledge of providing
direct service to children and families from diverse cultures and
backgrounds that includes an understanding of trauma from a racial
and cultural perspective.Strong leadership and assessment skills to
support children's individualized needs and family service
goalsComplete routine 'needs assessments' for children within the
foster care systemCreating and maintaining comprehensive treatment
plans, and additional assessment tools and reports as
neededBuilding strong relationships with the family system,
completing service referrals, maintaining contact with providers,
and implementing creative forms of support within the child's
family system.Exceptional written and oral communication
skillsProviding individualized therapies, psychoeducation and
interventions to children within the foster care
system.Demonstrates a commitment to empowering families and
utilizing a trauma informed, equity and strength-based approach
during all interactions.Valid New York States driver's license and
accessibility to a reliable car during working hours.Preferred
qualifications:Ability to interact effectively and professionally
with persons from all cultural, socioeconomic, education, racial,
ethnic, gender identity, sexual orientation, professional
backgrounds and the intersections of all identities.Skilled in
providing excellent customer service and support; organizing and
prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines; and excellent written
and verbal communication.Ability to work effectively with managers,
co-workers, members of the public and professional groups.Ability
to communicate effectively, clearly, concisely with others
(internal and external customers, consistently demonstrate
positive/proactive customer service attitude.Ability to work as an
effective team member; function independently, exercise sound
judgment and initiative; be flexible to shift priorities; maintain
confidentiality; establish and maintain effective interpersonal
work relationships, effectively assist providers.Equipment
