Come work for a great team and work in a newly -air-conditioned plant located -in Cheektowaga, NY. - We are looking for experienced Flexographic Printing Press Operators for 2nd and 3rd shift. - -Candidates must have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of flexographic printing press experience (W&H, UTECO, PCMC, or similar wide web flexo presses) to apply. - We very have NEW -competitive pay rates (starting at $25 / hour) for this role and a $1,000 sign on bonus. - Come join ProAmpac who is one of the largest suppliers of consumer packaging products. -

  Job Responsibilities:
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Operate Press to ensure it is printing a quality product
    
    
  • 
    Follow quality requirements to meet or exceed expectations
    
    
  • 
    Read job orders for accurate information and ensures the crew is following special instructions
    
    
  • 
    Ensure print design conforms with job jacket information
    
    
  • 
    Complete inks usage, viscosity, and PH forms
    
    
  • 
    Responsible for print sample retention
    
    
  • 
    Notify Supervisor/Lead or Quality assurance of non-conformities.
    
    
  • 
    Complete product reports and Quality Assurance sheets for each job
    
    
  • 
    Monitor machine and inks
    
    
  • 
    Operate anilox cleaner and parts washer
    
    
  • 
    Set-up and clean the press
    
    
  • 
    Cut cores for orders, headers, stretch wrap
    
    
  • 
    Empty trash and blue racks
    
    
  • 
    All other duties as assigned

      • High school diploma or equivalent education.
        
      • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of flexographic printing press experience with either W&H, UTECO, PCMC, or similar wide web flexo presses. - Also candidates must also possess experience -with Solvent based inks on Film material. -
        
      • Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly during the shift.
        
      • Excellent communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills to facilitate shift to shift communication with Assistant Printers, Printer Operators and Production Supervisors and Leads.
        
      • Ability to read, comprehend and write simple correspondence is necessary.
        
      • Ability to read and interpret job orders to successfully and correctly set up and assist in running the product, in accordance with customer requirements.
        
      • A good eye for color is required.
        
      • Ability to perform simple math equations.
        
      • Strong ability to read a tape measure accurately required.
