We are growing and looking for a Quality Assurance Control Intern to help with our customer base quality and compliance requirements. This role will be joining the API Delevan team in East Aurora, NY. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.

• Originate and maintain regulation and compliance system for continued use after internship position
• Communication with customers and raw material suppliers on conformance requirements necessary
• Handle all compliance requests for both magnetics and resolver product lines for the following regulations: REACH SVHC latest regulation, EU ROHS latest regulation, PROP65, China ROHS, PBT Declaration & others as necessary
• Review & understand customer & regulation requirements
• Set up & operate various inspection, testing & measurement equipment
• Interpret compliance regulations and standards
• Communicate with multiple departments needed to fulfill compliance requests
• Document results of analysis and measurements performed for partial or finished goods
• Preparation of customer reports and certificates of conformance
• Support quality team in compliance priorities and day to day operation, including preparation & maintenance of schedules to meet delivery for requirements
• Support multiple projects simultaneously
• Coordinate with production control and operations to obtain test parts and to ensure compliance with delivery needs. Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School education or GED equivalent; Technical Associates Degree preferred
  • Experience with various test/lab equipment
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 and/or AS9100 Quality System requirements a plus
  • Must possess a basic understanding of electricity and electrical quantities, such as current, voltage, etc.
  • Must have experience with computers & be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
