Job Description:
- Provide Nurturing Parenting Program curriculum to assigned
parents/families;
- Facilitate group instruction using a strengths-based,
family-centered approach, ensuring fidelity to the NPP model;
- Administer standardized assessments to program
participants;
- Develop trusting relationships with program participants and
their families;
- Maintain regular contact with participants via group
instruction and home visiting;
- Intervene during parent/child visits, supporting areas where
the parent has skill mastery, and utilizing coaching to help
parents practice and gain competence in areas of need;
- Assess family functioning for safety and ability of the family
to care for children;
- Maintain positive working internal and external
relationships;
- Maintain required documentation of services provided, including
data entry into NYS CONNECTIONS System
- Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work or human service field
required;
- 2 years of experience in working with high-risk families;
- Trained in Nurturing Parenting Program or available to be
trained.
- Must be at least 21 years of age;
- Good writing and organizational skills;
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a reliable
