Job Description:
Position: Senior Family Peer Advocate
POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Family Peer Advocate is responsible
for the delivery of direct services for the Family Support Program.
The Senior Family Peer Advocate will provide an array of formal and
informal services and supports provided to families caring
for/raising a child who is experiencing social, emotional,
developmental, medical, substance use, and/or behavioral challenges
in their home, school, placement, and/or community. The service is
needed to allow the child the best opportunity to remain in the
community. Activities included must be intended to achieve the
identified goals or objectives as set forth in the child/youth's
treatment plan. The Senior Family Peer Advocate will support the
supervisor with training and mentorship of new Family Peer
Advocates.

Pay and benefits
3 weeks of paid time off your first year, not including an
additional 13 agency holidays.

$20.14 - $22.20/hr your first year.
Flexible Monday - Friday schedule, with some day and evening
availability required.

Minimum Education and/or Professional Qualifications/Skills
Demonstrate 'lived experience' as a parent or primary caregiver who
has navigated multiple child serving systems on behalf of their
child(ren) with social, emotional, developmental, health and/or
behavioral healthcare needs.(required)
Four years of experience working with youth and families in the
human services field.(required)
Family Peer Advocate Professional Credential(required).
A high school diploma, high school equivalency preferred or a State
Education Commencement Credential (e.g., SACC or CDOS). This
educational requirement can be waived by the State if the person
has demonstrated competencies and has relevant life experience
sufficient for the peer certification.(required)
A valid driver's license(required)
