Job Description:
The Sales Engineer is required to develop account-gaining
strategies and to give required product salessupport to close
business successfully. The individual must be self-driven to
research, understand thecustomer needs, and determine the overall
business and technical solution. This individual leads
internalresources in order to set up and deliver compelling
presentations and demonstrations, is responsible forresponding to
in-depth customer questions and inquiries, and must understand the
customer's business issuesand combine them with all product
offerings to determine solutions that will provide the most ideal
businessvalue.DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSResponsible for
development and delivery of product demonstrations.Responsible for
representing the product to customers and at field events such as
conferences, seminars,tradeshows, etc.Able to respond to functional
and technical elements of RFQs/RFPs/ITTs.Attracts potential
customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting
information about other products and services.Resolves product or
service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint;
determining the cause ofthe problem; selecting and explaining the
best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction
oradjustment; following up to ensure resolution.Recommends
potential products or services to management by collecting customer
information andanalyzing customer needs.Scheduling appointments,
meeting new and existing customers in order to review product
requirements,and to determine other opportunities.Preparing,
designing and planning effective professional demonstrations to
conduct sales presentationsby meeting customers physically on a
daily basis, or as often as necessary.Liaising between the company
and the customers for up-to-date condition on pricing, service and
latestproduct release launches.Generating new businesses accounts
in order to increase revenue, through cold calling.Continuously
updating all customers on company product modifications, changes,
and enhancements.Provides product quotes to customers as needed,
and ensures complete follow-up on customer profile,information,
calls-to-action, sources, and dates.Identifying decision makers
amongst the targeted leads in order to facilitate sales
process.Prepares product or service reports by collecting and
analyzing customer information.Prepares quotations and proposals,
discusses credit terms, quotes prices/delivery and prepares
SalesOrder reports or forms.Contributes to team effort by
accomplishing related results as needed.Able to work in fast-paced,
self-directed professional environment.Preparing reports for sales
and marketing and maintaining expense accounts; updating and
maintenanceof customer accounts.Proven ability to influence
cross-functional teams without formal authority.Cooperating with
Sales Manager to determine essential strategic approaches for
sales.Maintaining and expanding the database of prospects of the
organization.Attending sales group and/or production meetings
concerning existing orders, sales targets or forecasts,reporting on
customer expectations/requirements and overall market
situation.Functional implementation of Conax Nuclear's NQA Program,
including review/interpretation ofcustomer Purchase Order
requirements, as well as accurate, complete and detailed transfer
of informationto Sales Orders.QUALIFICATIONSExcellent Communication
skills (written and oral), able to handle stressful situations
anddeadline pressures, as well as carry out responsibilities with
minimal direction.Must be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of
a technical organization with ageographically dispersed domestic
and international customer base.Must possess strong presentation
skills and be able to communicate professionally in
writtenresponses to emails, RFQs/RFPs, and when submitting
reports.Organizational and analytical skills required, with the
ability to eliminate sales obstaclesthrough creative and adaptive
approaches.Must be self-motivated with a proven track record in
technical sales, having knowledge oftechnology, and the ability to
maintain technical competence with customers.Extremely
detail-oriented, goal-oriented and a skilled negotiator with a high
level of initiativeand the ability to work well within a team
environment.3+ years relevant experience in product sales and
account/project management.Experience and familiarity of Mirion's
products and line of business.Bachelors in Engineering or a related
