Starting Rate: $17.07/hour. Annual increases and full benefits

Experienced candidates with 3 years or more required work
experience hourly rates range from $17.41/hour- $19.99 based on CWA
Collective Bargaining Agreement
Full Time - 40 hours/week Monday - Friday 3pm - 11pm
POSITION SUMMARY: The Crisis Counseling Chat/Text Hotline
Specialist I provide crisis and supportive counseling and lethality
assessments over chat/text platform(s). The Crisis Counseling
Chat/Text Hotline Specialist I will ensure the availability of
information and referral services to any individual that contacts
the Crisis Services 24-hour Chat/Text Hotline. The Crisis
Counseling Chat/Test Hotline Specialist will also be cross trained
on the Crisis Services 24-hour phone hotline and all other
dedicated lines in the Crisis Counseling Program for assistance.
The position maintains a commitment to the mission and work of
Crisis Services and has a deep appreciation for and sensitivity to
the guiding principles of the organization.
Essential Functions of the Position Include, But Are Not Limited
to:
* Screens inbound Chat/Text messages for lethality using AAS
guidelines
* Utilizes iCarol to create Chat/Text Hotline reports that include
demographic information
* Completes inter-agency program referrals
* Participates and engages in clinical supervision, as assigned by
CCP Program Manager
* Participates in the Agency's Crisis Counselor Training Program
(depending on previous experience)
* Completes On Call consultant hours as needed, as assigned by the
CCP Director
* Participates in mandatory agency meetings and quality assurance
activities
* Attends required training and professional development
opportunities
* Other tasks as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
* EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college and/or
university in human service field, social work or relevant
field.
* EXPERIENCE: Minimum one (1) year of professional pre or
post-graduate experience; preferably providing direct services in
mental health or human service setting. Experience with crisis
situations and quickly establishing rapport with clients
preferred.
* SKILLS:
* Demonstrated ability and experience working with diverse
populations.
* Strong knowledge of mental health and suicide dynamics and
effects.
* Superior knowledge of HIPAA laws/regulations with regard to
protected health information; code of ethics, confidentiality and
privacy principles.
* Excellent technology skills utilizing Chat/Text platform(s).
* Excellent problem solving, conflict management, organizational
and time management skills.
* Ability to multi-task.
* Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
