The Opportunity Delaware North Global Headquarters is hiring a Corporate Communications Specialist to join our corporate communications team in Buffalo, New York. As a Corporate Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for providing marketing strategy and support, and the development and execution of internal and external communications initiatives. The marketing communications specialist also serves as a key content provider and editor for internal and external communications, including business development. This role also works independently and with the Creative Studio on layout and design of newsletters and other communications.

  • Create written press materials for executives, including press releases, corporate bios, announcements, Q&As, remarks, and speeches.
  • Respond to media requests in a timely manner, meeting deadlines and containing sensitive stories.
  • Research, write and edit copy for advertising, websites, digital and print publications, social media channels, executive communications, associate communications, news releases, promotions, hiring announcements, articles, talking points, reactive statements, remarks, and other public relations positioning documents.
  • Assist the directors in leading public relations strategy, management, and execution, as well as managing corporate communication initiatives for Delaware North subsidiaries.
  • Ensure brand reputation, positioning, values, voice and messaging is upheld and consistently portrayed and communicated.
  • Assemble media coverage and summary reports for events and stories. Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism or marketing.
    • Minimum of 5 years of related communications and marketing experience.
    • Ability to develop, strategically plan, and execute cohesive and targeted marketing communication messaging and materials including objectives and tactics that are tied directly to measurable results.
    • Experience developing and executing creative and successful corporate communications and marketing campaigns and initiatives.
    • Excellent writing skills, strong verbal communication, and presentation skills with a thorough comprehension of corporate communications and brand marketing.
    • Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
