Job Title: Radiologic TechnologistReports to: X-Ray ManagerStatus: Non-ExemptSummary: Radiologic Technologists work as members of the X-ray team, reporting to the X-Ray Manager. This role provides X-Ray, Fluoroscopy and C-Arm based imaging to patients and supports the patient experience throughout their time at GLMI. Effective communication between departments and exemplary patient care must be maintained. This role performs a variety of tasks beyond X-Ray imaging including: patient calls, documentation in charts, and assisting with both patient and other co-worker needs.           • CR and DR x-ray proceduresFluoroscopyBone DensityC-arm, pain management and Interventional Radiology procedures.
          • Communicates with patients regarding medical history, symptoms and explanation of procedures with associated documentation.
          • Enters data in Radiology Information System, assuring accuracy and completeness.
          • Verifies accuracy of orders prior to examining the patient.
          • Maintains a clean and orderly work area, provides quality control processes when necessary and ensures the safety of patients in the department.
          • Attends to the medical needs of patients at all times. Maintains patient modesty at all times.
          • Helps fellow technologists when not busy with x-ray/flouro and CT duties.
          • Restocks supplies and maintains a list of things to be ordered.
          • Operates standard imaging equipment including but not limited to:
            • R&F Machine
            • PC Computer
            • CR Processor
            • PACS/RIS Computer
            • CD burnerOvertime may be required, as needed Other duties as assignedNecessary Skills:
              • Experience in radiology and medical terminology
              • Operate standard office equipment such as fax machine, copier, scanner etc. Qualifications:
                Associates in Applied Science, Radiologic Technology from ARRT approved programNew York State Radiologic Technology License or valid temporary licenseValid BLS CertificationARRT Certification when eligible Physical and Mental Requirements:
                Must have the ability to pull, push and lift patients and equipment.Standing, walking, sitting, keyboard use for long periods of time Ability to listen and communicate with patients face to face or over the phone Will be required to read, write, work in a fast-paced office settingAbility to make decisions and think quicklyMust have mental and physical capabilities to perform all tasks listed above
