The Procurement Specialist works with key internal and external
stakeholders to secure products and services that meet or exceed
Stark Tech's cost, quality, and delivery specifications. The
Procurement Specialist works with the Procurement Director and
operations personnel to establish standardized corporate procedures
and training materials, reduce costs, maintain or improve supplier
performance, execute value-added projects and change requests, and
improve the accuracy and transparency of supply chain data.How are
you successful in this role?As the Procurement Specialist, you will
perform strategic sourcing, vendor qualification, evaluation, and
performance monitoring. Create and maintain complete and accurate
Item Master Data and price lists in the ERP. Create and maintain
up-to-date vendor records and contact information in the ERP.
Collaborate with Corporate Accounting on credit applications and
required documentation. Develop and maintain strong relationships
with preferred partners and consolidates supplier base. Work with
purchasing agents to proactively identify and plan for supply risks
and supplier development. Assist with issuing RFX and negotiating
corporate contracts for best price and value. Execute orders for
corporate supply agreements. Assist with testing and execution of
approved supply chain projects and change requests.In this role you
will, assist with training of support personnel including
purchasing agents and warehouse reps. Work with the Procurement
Director to implement standardized corporate supply chain
guidelines, policies, SOPs, KPI reports, and user dashboards.
Prepare progress reports for management on continuous process
improvement and cost savings. Work with the purchasing agents to
identify and leverage corporate spend and synergies to reduce
costs. Work with warehouse management to optimize replenishment,
balancing cost and service requirements. Collaborate with Accounts
Payable to ensure timely vendor payments. Other supply chain
projects as required.What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree required.
- 3-5 years supply chain experience.
- Organized, highly motivated, and an independent thinker.
- Able to multi-task, work well under pressure, and meet
- Team player experienced in cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong ERP Experience.What would we love to see?
- Relevant certification preferred (CPIM, CSCP, CPSM)
- Prior experience in construction industry a plus.
- Lean/continuous improvement experience preferred.Who are
