POSITION SUMMARY The Retail Sales Representative (RSR) calls on stores in an assigned geography. Goals are to maximize customer sales and profitability while executing account plans including selling, distribution, merchandising/display, and shelving objectives MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES PROBLEM SOLVING & ANALYTICSDevelop foundational selling skills and product knowledge through immersive field experiencesUtilize analytical data to drive sales at store levelPrepare for retail sales calls by gathering relevant store, product, and market data to create effective selling presentations for key decision makers EXECUTIONAL EXCELLENCETake personal accountability and ownership for results, and deeply understand customer needsUnderstand GMI products, categories, and brand priorities and how to link those to store opportunitiesSuccessfully execute NRO retail priorities, through results-driven retail coverageMaximize incremental sales and displays based on in-store observationsDevelop and maintain partnerships with key decision makers within territory in order to overcome objections and maximize sales resultsCommunicate market insights from the store level to managementLeverage point of sale materials to drive incremental displaysLEADERSHIP BEHAVIORSModel General Mills leadership behaviors and values to foster an inclusive environment, embrace a learning and growth mindset, and demonstrate personal accountability MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must live in a 30 mile radius of Buffalo area and the respective zip codes 14075, 14127, 14224 or willing to self-relocate within 30 days of startPassion to sell/represent General Mills and our top consumer food brandsRelevant work experience with a High School Diploma/equivalentProficient ability to use tablets (i.e. iPad) and Microsoft ExcelStrong interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external partnersStrong problem solving, analytic, influencing, and negotiation skillsAbility to work with a high degree of independenceUS work authorization and must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving recordPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to lift and carry a minimum of 20 pounds while using the appropriate lifting techniques and safety rulesProlonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching and some climbing of ladders at store levelPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Industry experience in sales, customer facing sales or other relevant experienceAbility to build relationships with key decision makers across an organizationBachelor's Degree COMPANY OVERVIEWWe exist to make food the world loves.
