About the Role
As the Head of Data Products for the Enterprise Data and Analytics Office, you will be a part of a team that is obsessed in driving actionable insights by building best-in-class data products that consistently deliverer results for our customers, clients, and stakeholders
You will apply your technical skills, analytical mindset, and product intuition to one of the richest financial datasets and in so doing, you will help shape our understanding of our customers through data, helping define our products, growth strategies and the customer experiences we build for millions of customers people and hundreds of businesses
You will collaborate on a wide array of business problems with a diverse set of cross-functional partners across business, data science, engineering, and others to build world class data products. You will influence data product strategy and investment decisions by focusing on impact. You will identify and measure success of product efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring of key product metrics to understand trends
You will guide end-to-end product lifecycle including business requirements, product release plans, user stories, release criteria, product launch, and organizational adoption activities. You will collect business requirements and feature requests to define and prioritize the product backlog and manage the roadmap. You build and leverage relationships with the business enabling you to validate requirements, priorities, and partner with business SMEs on defining product functionality & solutions that drive differentiating value to our customers
You will provide regular updates about product direction and release plans to the stakeholders regularly and partners as needed. You will proactively gather feedback from relevant stakeholders, perform research, and distill your findings into a clear product roadmap. You will define, understand, and test opportunities and levers to improve the product, and drive roadmaps. You understand that feature development and tech debt are inversely proportional, and you advocate to keep our platform stable, healthy, and current
About you
You won't simply present data but tell data-driven stories. You will convince and influence your partners using clear insights and recommendations. You will build credibility through structure and clarity and be a trusted strategic partner.
You will use data to shape product development, quantify new opportunities, identify upcoming challenges, and ensure the products we build bring value to customers. You will help your partner teams prioritize what to build, set goals, and understand their product's ecosystem.
You will guide teams using data and insights. You will focus on developing hypotheses and employ a diverse toolkit of rigorous analytical approaches, different methodologies, frameworks, and technical approaches to test them.
Basic Qualification
Bachelor's degree in quantitative/relevant field such as Statistics, Operational Research, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science
Eloquent communicator able to translate data and technical concepts for a business audience as well to a technical audience
Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
A bias toward action and the ability to work autonomously and take initiative
Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria
Deep understanding of user-centered product development practices, including journey mapping and design thinking
Knowledge and practice of core principals of Agile methodology and development practices including Scrum, Kanban, Lean software development, etc.
Familiarity and experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence for product user stories and agile development
Team oriented, collaborative, respectful, and flexible style, with the ability to tailor results to varied audiences
Exhibit intellectual curiosity and strive to continually learn
Preferred Qualification
Advanced degree in quantitative/relevant field such as Statistics, Operational Research, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science
Knowledge of big data engineering stack including Hadoop, Spark, Kafka and other related components. Experience working with AWS, GCP, Azure and Hadoop
Product Management, Azure DevOps, SAFe or equivalent certifications
Previous experience with a consulting firm delivery consulting services to financial services clients is a plus
Proven experience in planning, organizing, and leading multiple multi-functional projects with diverse cross-functional partners
