Industrial Gas Filtration and Generation Division, Parker
Hannifin Corp, specializes in the design, manufacture and
distribution of compressed air & gas treatment, on-site gas
generation systems and clean air solutions.
$1,000 Sign on Bonus for all Full-Time positions! Applies to
new, full-time Parker team members. Most positions are contract to
perm. Payout: 25% ($250) Upon hire date (as a full-time Parker team
member) 25% ($250) After 90 days of successful full-time employment
50% ($500) After 6 months of successful full-time employment
Performs either paint or sandblast duties and must have the ability
to perform work in either area. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Follows
established safety and environmental policies, procedures and
methods applicable to the work area. 2. Works in a fast-paced
environment with fast changing priorities. 3. Participate in daily
area clean up and more significant facility clean-up efforts as
assigned. 4. Is a back-up to the lead person. 5. Accept
reassignment to other departments as workload dictates. 6. Performs
other duties as necessary. Sandblast 1. Ensure there are no grease
or liquids on the product prior to sandblast. 2. Masks over parts
and areas that are not to be blasted. 3. Follow work instruction to
properly operate sandblast equipment. 4. Manage ordering and
stocking levels for sandblast media. 5. Sandblast to the required
specification, measure and document the final results. Paint 1.
Maintains daily usage log book for purpose of calculating V.O.C.'s.
2. Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color. 3.
Masks over parts and areas that are not to be coated. 4. Sprays
surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with
protective or decorative material such as paint and enamel. 5.
Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush. 6. Cleans
spraying equipment and brushes with solvent. 7. Ability to touch up
units and repair defects. 8. General maintenance of spray booth
filters. 9. Paint to the required specification, measure and
document the final results. 10. Handling of electrostatic powder
coating of products in a spray booth or on a conveyor line
according to specifications. 11. Ability to spray a powder to the
correct thickness range, good standard. 12. Versatility in spraying
a range of products from large flat surfaces, awkward profiles and
overcoat rejected powder coated parts. 13. Operate all coating
equipment including guns, hoppers and booth collection system. 14.
Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects.
15. Determine paint flow, viscosity and coating quality by
performing visual inspections or by using viscometers. 16.
Knowledge of thermosetting resin coatings, wash and pretreatments.
17. Ensure that all components are produced / coated efficiently,
and are consistent with company established goals for quality and
customer order on-time performance.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree
(GED). EXPERIENCE: 2 - 3 years of experience in a manufacturing
environment preferred. SKILLS: Ability to understand and follow
written work instructions. Understanding of ratios in order to mix
paint. Must pass physical and fit test in order to operate paint
equipment. Ability to be cross trained in other functions. Computer
skills including MS Office and ability to learn Parker business
