You will be part of the Product Line Infotainment's architecture
team within the Business Line Radio Frequency Processing at NXP
Hamburg. One of the important components in an automotive
infotainment system is the audio processor which is being developed
by NXP as a combined broadcast and audio processing so-called
System On Chip (SoC) in a state-of-the-art mixed signal RFCMOS
semiconductor process technology.
An integral part of such an SoC is the signal processing and
control software stack which includes all necessary audio channel
processing as well as more sophisticated audio technologies, e.g.
for cabin sound enhancements. Modern audio infotainment systems
also started making use of new algorithms and techniques from the
machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) domain
especially in cases where no straight forward classical algorithmic
solution can be found due to parameter variance or complexity.
The PL infotainment's architecture team intends to make use of
these techniques and is looking for ways to map them on their SoCs'
embedded compute cores incl. additional neural network (NN)
accelerators. As a kick-off we are looking for a working student
(m/f/d) to support us in:
Establishing a machine learning framework based on Python and
Literature study on ML techniques suited for car audio
entertainment and processing
Prototyping ML algorithms for car audio with Python and
Translating ML algorithms into executable C code on general
purpose compute cores or DSPs
- Mapping timing critical ML algorithm portions to specific
hardware accelerators like a neural network digital signal
Enrolled student with focus on Electrical Engineering or
Basic knowledge in computer architecture incl. digital signal
Special interest in artificial intelligence / machine learning
and neural network based algorithms
Familiar with Python programming language, JupyterLab framework
and Python based machine learning packages
Basic TensorFlow knowledge
Fluent in English language both oral and written
