As Sales Director, Performance Alloys & Composite, you lead a team of sales professionals to drive sales growth across an array of PAC products in the Defense, Automotive, Commercial Aerospace, Consumer Electronics and other markets.

Working collaboratively with Customer Service, Account Managers, Channel Management and Product Management, your leadership brings the One Materion PAC Sales strategy, mission and vision to life - identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to capture scale and drive efficiency throughout the organization.

You Will:

Lead the PAC sales organization to develop, implement selling strategies that will exceed goals across diverse industries by winning new business opportunities, while protecting current share, within named accounts

Help guide the discovery of technical and commercial needs to build compelling, quantitative value propositions that turn customer stakeholders into Materion advocates

Create, develop and win BIG and strategic opportunities by driving value-creation at all levels in the supply chain using creative and differentiating approaches

Negotiate large B2B contracts and/or resolve disputes, ensuring customer satisfaction

As a people leader, recruit, coach, and develop top talent for best-in-class sales performance and employee career development, with an eye on building tomorrow's leaders

Push the envelope on new sales generation techniques, commercial excellence and digital tools, including collaboration with marketing functions

Guide development of Materion products by capturing the 'voice of customer' and effectively communicating this to supporting functions and executive management

Demonstrate a One PAC & One Materion approach by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to capture scale and drive best in class processes

Ensure accurate sales forecasts, reports, and account records in CRM system

Challenge the status quo to take Materion to the next level of performance

Team with peers across the globe and business units to share and leverage best practices and tools

Support M&A and/or regional partnerships, as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree in Business or Engineering, with a preference for Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering. Post-Graduate Degree in Business or Finance strongly preferred.

Minimum 15 years' professional sales of non-standard technical products with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

Career progression (successfully advancing to roles with increasing responsibility) and demonstrated ability to profitably grow a business - with advanced materials technology a plus

Experience leading a sales organization, including implementing strategies and setting priorities for a business with at least $50MM in annual sales

Six Sigma Certification

Professional training in consultative sales (e.g. Miller-Heiman, ASLAN, etc.)

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
