Job Description Job Description About the Role: The Sand & Metal
Blaster plays a crucial role in preparing surfaces for finishing
and coating processes. This position involves using specialized
equipment to remove contaminants, rust, and old paint from various
materials, ensuring a clean and smooth surface. The end result of
this work is to enhance the durability and appearance of products,
contributing to overall quality and customer satisfaction.
Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are
essential, as the role involves working with potentially hazardous
materials. Ultimately, the Sand & Metal Blaster helps maintain high
standards in manufacturing and restoration projects.
Responsibilities: Operate sandblasting and metal blasting equipment
to clean and prepare surfaces. Inspect surfaces before and after
blasting to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
Maintain and troubleshoot blasting equipment to ensure optimal
performance. Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal
protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Document work performed
and report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.
Qualifications: Proven experience in sandblasting or metal
blasting. Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in a
blasting environment. Knowledge of surface finishing processes.
Experience with various blasting materials and techniques
proficiency in operating sandblasting equipment and a strong
understanding of surface preparation techniques. Preferred
Qualifications: Certification in sandblasting or surface
preparation Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
