Job Description Job Description Benefits: 401(k) Competitive salary Free uniforms Paid time off Belt Shop Fabricator - Belt Technician Responsibilities: Fabricate and repair conveyor belts Inspect completed fabricated belts for order accuracy to meet industry specifications Install and vulcanize lightweight and heavyweight conveyor belting Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition Work in a manner that ensures the safety of everyone involved. Exercise proper care in the use of tools and equipment Detect and report defective equipment, material and any improper operations or unusual conditions Observe all safety rules and regulations; maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition Required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Other duties as assigned Qualification: Measure and cut material Must be able to MEASURE ACCURATELY, both imperial and metric Basic Math skills - add, subtract, multiply, and divide in units of linear measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals with a calculator Strong mechanical background a plus Required to read and write in English Material handling with forklift, pallet jack and hand truck. High attention to detail Compensation: Starting wage negotiable based on experience. Experienced Belting Fabricator will be considered for additional compensation. Performance based wage increases.
