partners wherever we go. About the Job The Fertigation Technician
works under the supervision of the General Manager (GM) to
determine the precise mixing and delivery of nutrients to the
cannabis crops throughout the facility. Responsible for monitoring
the performance of the fertigation system to ensure that it is
working according to specifications from the vendor and escalate
issues to the fertigation program manager and the GM in real time
to avoid major issues in regard to delivery of nutrients and/or the
system itself. This position requires the use of automated computer
systems, meters for analytical analysis and controlled environment
technology. What You Will Do Accurate mixing and delivery of
nutrients to all plants. Monitors and assures the plant production
schedule is current for proper recipe delivery. Coordinates efforts
to assure the fertigation system equipment is maintained and
running properly. Perform regular testing of water quality, media
analysis and plant tissue analysis as well as recording and
documenting the results. Ensure the plants are in optimal health
and report any problems seen on daily walks. Keep stock of
inventory and order materials and equipment as needed. Maintains a
high degree of accountability and responsibility. Promptly
escalates any issues that arise and helps perform root cause
analysis. Responsible for implementing corrections and corrective
actions. Actively looks and make suggestions for improvements.
Capable and able to perform all duties of the Cultivation
Technician. Other duties as assigned. Understands, supports, and
communicates Company mission, vision, and values. Understands and
follows the requirements of the quality system. Identifies and
documents any problems related to the product, process, or the
quality system. Recommends, provides, or initiates solutions by
actively providing suggestions for improvement. What We Are Looking
For Minimum age of 21 years or older High school or equivalent 1
years experience in cultivation or production management Cannabis
experience not required, but other relevant agricultural or plant
knowledge is required Experience using a fertigation system is a
plus May require working rotating shifts with varied hours/day,
including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Must be
analytical and resourceful leader, who is able to communicate
effectively, orally and in writing Ability to work in a fast-paced
and challenging environment Ability to operate within a tightly
controlled track and trace environment Intermediate level knowledge
of all growing mediums, nutrient regimens, cultivation
methodologies, environmental requirements and cultivation
techniques. Have a basic understanding of cannabis laws, rules and
regulations set forth by the state Fundamental knowledge, as well
as the ability to be taught and guided in areas related to
cultivation with other areas being taught as the employee shows
interest while still maintaining their capabilities as a
cultivation technician. Must understand and implement the rules,
regulations, policies, and procedures of the company and the
cultivation department. Adhere to company mission statement, while
maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism. Must work
well with others and ability to adapt quickly to changes in policy,
procedure, methods and technique. Use of independent judgment
regarding product processing, keeping quality, projections and
goals in mind. Help create a proactive and positive environment; a
positive attitude and self-motivation to help produce high quality
product, while meeting and/or exceeding personal and/or company
goals. Ability to work with, help, guide, challenge and motivate
other team members to create a cohesive unit. Must manage their
time during work efficiently to meet goals while consistently
producing quality product. Follow basic instructions and ability to
take constructive criticism from their managers to maintain quality
standards and production goals. Skill in analyzing potential
problems with a plant or the product being processed. Strong
working knowledge of Microsoft Office – strong Excel skills
required. Shows self-motivation/innovation and the ability to work
well with all members of their staff and the company, as well as
with their direct supervisor. Ability to listen well and
communicate effectively various audiences, especially with the
direct supervisors and other co-workers. Compensation Description
(annually): The hourly pay range for this position is $19.00 -
$21.00 Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a
number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills,
competencies and experience, and location. Physical
Requirements/Work Environment Requires normal, corrective vision
range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish
letters, numbers and symbols Must be capable of lifting up to 50
lbs., with or without assistance Ability to climb, push, pull,
stoop, grasp, walk, sit, stand, bend and reach for the duration of
shift Requires manual dexterity to operate job related equipment
