Job Description:
A company is looking for a Director, Commercial Counsel
(Payments) to support its payments platform and financial
partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, negotiate, and advise on complex agreements related to
payments and financial services
Drive improvements in contract negotiation processes and ensure
timely completion of contracts
Provide strategic legal and business advice to support long-term
partnerships
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one
US state bar
10+ years of commercial legal experience, preferably in the FinTech
space
Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements in the
payments and financial services industry
Technical understanding of the payments and financial ecosystem
relevant to marketplaces
In-house legal department experience
