A Day in Your Life at MKS:As a Technical Associate at Power Solutions, you will partner with Reliability Engineering to identify improvement opportunities in new product design. In this role, you will report to the Director of Reliability Engineering.You Will Make an Impact By:* Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research work* Works closely with development engineers to create design prototypes and models* Troubleshoots prototype and model failures* May also be required to have system level expertise in specific products and provide the first level of assistance to Field Service and Production when required* May work with suppliers specifying, procuring, and testing possible new system components* May have multidisciplinary skills allowing for effective work on software controlled mechanical electrical optical systemsSkills You Bring:* Requires an associate degree in electronics or equivalent technical experience* Minimum of 6+ years of related experiencePreferred Skills: (Optional)* Familiarity with reliability engineering concepts* Adapt at building test apparatus supporting electronic and mechanical assembliesPhysical Demands and Working Conditions:* Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.* Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination* Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 50 pounds* Frequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level* Regularly requires manual dexterity and coordination of objects below, at and above shoulder level* Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand* Must be able to exchange accurate information* Operates in a [professional office and/or laboratory/manufacturing] environment* Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery* Ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)* Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat* Noise level in the work environment is usually averageCompensation and Benefits:Hourly Pay Range: $36-43 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
