Job Details Company Overview Overview: Responsible for the Development and management of a team of three Business Banking Central Relationship Managers with assigned calling activity and sales production goals driven primarily through fulfillment of centrally sourced leads that come from alternative channels including digital landing pages and various online marketing campaigns. Primary Responsibilities: - Develop and implement new to Bank Business Banking Central RM team - Hire up 3 Business Banking Relationship Managers for team (initial) - Provide direction to team members in: - Driving new sales production and development of new relationships via phone or online communication - Completion of sale through sales cycle (initial conversation through application and fulfillment) via phone or online communication methods - Evaluation and activation of leads that are received from centralized channels in a timely fashion - Conducting a full sales conversation via phone using the Business First sales process to identify needs and cross-sell additional products and services - Achieve sales goals as assigned equaling the sum of personal and team members' goals with expectations to be determined - Negotiate with underwriters and clients to maximize revenue and minimize risk - Coach team by providing feedback on calling skills and sales development opportunities - Work with partners in the Contact Center and Marketing to manage lead fulfillment - Expand upon initial calling strategy beyond inbound leads to include relationship management of a portfolio of designated clients and prospecting activities as assigned - Ability to complete calling and sales activity individually as needed to support team - Develop relationships with sales leadership in Business Banking and Retail throughout footprint to facilitate client fulfillment handoffs as appropriate - Availability to meet calling responsibilities and client fulfillment needs during non-business hours - Assist Sales Manager with development of department strategy, budget planning and management - Knowledge of and adherence to Bank's credit policy and use of lending authority accordingly Scope of Responsibilities: Responsible for interacting with loan analysts, underwriters and customers on lender's behalf to facilitate loan production. Provision of support and problem solving for lenders on loan structuring on complex credits; joint sales calls. Coordination of efforts of lenders and branch managers via communication with Area Sales managers to achieve mutual market goals. Keep current with customer demand for deposit products, information reporting systems, investment methods, etc. Supervisory/ Managerial Responsibilities: - Personnel management, recruitment and training, including exercise of usual management authority with respect to staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations. Education and Experience Required: MBA preferred; Bachelors degree or 3-5 years of relevant work experience required 7+ years in commercial lending experience Knowledge of software utilized within the department, specific familiarity with Word, Excel. Ability to read and analyze financial statements and tax returns; familiarity with technical terminology of accounting field. Excellent credit skills. Excellent understanding of product specialties available to Business Banking customers and the ability to identify sales opportunities within the product sets. Self motivated, well organized Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of bank personnel as well as clients and potential customers. Thorough knowledge of bank's policies, products and services. Ability to work under critical time constraints. Ability to function professionally at many different levels (client, management, peers). Attendance at functions outside of normal working hours. o staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations. May involve substantial travel.
