Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A registered nurse (RN) with stepdown and telemetry experience is needed for a 13-week travel assignment in Warren, OH. This intermediate coronary care role requires expertise in cardiac and critical care nursing, focusing on patients with atrial fibrillation, CHF, post-cardiac catheterization, open-heart surgery recovery, and associated comorbidities such as respiratory, renal, stroke, and ICU transfers. Qualifications: Current RN license in a compact state or the state of assignment BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required before starting; CCRN and PCCN preferred At least 1 year of RN experience; 6 months acute care experience preferred Dysrhythmia exam required (study guide provided) Prior cardiovascular experience highly preferred EPIC EHR experience and critical care course completion are a plus Responsibilities: Deliver patient-centered care utilizing assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation Administer medications including drips (heparin, cardizem, amio, nitro, insulin) Interpret telemetry waveforms and cardiac monitoring strips accurately Manage multiple devices such as central lines, chest tubes, wound vacs, and advanced respiratory supports (Airvo, BIPAP, high flow) Serve as liaison between patient, family, and interdisciplinary team Advocate for patient safety and quality improvement initiatives Respond confidently to rapidly changing patient conditions and emergencies Unit Details: Nurse-to-patient ratio approximately 1:4-5 on days, 1:5-6 on nights, with PCA support scheduled regularly No ventilator or trach care required Short staffing may occur; flexibility and teamwork essential Location Insight: Warren, OH, is a city known for its welcoming community and convenient access to cultural attractions and natural parks.
