Job Title: LTC House Supervisor Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Long-Term Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 9 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: New York license required in hand to submit Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience - Epic experience required - Experience with productivity standards and staffing requirements Description: The RN supervisor serves as a resource for problem solving. Provides clinical expertise for staff mentoring and coaching. Facilitates patient flow during off shifts, typically evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Responsible for supervising an entire facility that consists of 5 units. Cares for residents with diagnoses including dementia, diabetes, stroke, cardiac issues, and orthopedic treatments. Serves in a neurobehavioral unit with residents exhibiting violent behaviors. Manages a rehab unit for residents post orthopedic surgery and cardiac procedures. Supervises a secure dementia unit for residents at risk for elopement. Provides care in long-term care units. Utilizes special equipment such as wound vacs, PICC lines, nephrostomy tubes, tube feeds, and indwelling catheters. Possesses skills in code management, de-escalation techniques, and emergency preparedness. Knowledgeable in infection control, incident reporting, and risk management. Familiar with regulatory requirements and organizational escalation processes. Coaches and counsels staff to meet performance standards. Ensures workplace safety and facilitates new admissions. Participates in centralized staffing and manages staffing requirements. Understands federal and state labor laws.
