As we continue to expand our services, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team. Position Summary: As a Respiratory Therapist at LECOM Nursing and Rehabilitation, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive respiratory care to our residents. Working in collaboration with our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will assess, treat, and monitor respiratory conditions to ensure the well-being of our residents. Your expertise will contribute to the overall quality of care we provide, promoting a comfortable and healing environment. Key Responsibilities: Assess and evaluate residents with respiratory conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans. Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication, and ventilator management. Monitor and adjust mechanical ventilation settings as needed. Educate residents and their families on respiratory care techniques and self-management. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Document and maintain accurate records of respiratory assessments, treatments, and interventions. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and coordinate resident care. Qualifications: Current Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist. Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. BLS and ACLS certification. Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
