working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Rochester,
New York, 14621! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing

Experience: 1 year License: New York License required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must have New York
license in hand. Epic charting experience required. Ability to take
a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for MedSurg patients. Travel
experience required. Description: This position is for an
experienced registered nurse in the MedSurg Intermediate Care Unit.
The unit provides exceptional, evidence-based care to adult acute
care patients requiring specialized attention. Patients may be
transferred from various departments, including emergency and
intensive care units. Continuous monitoring, including
pulse-oximetry and telemetry, is a standard practice within the
unit. Patient care may involve airway management, acute BIPAP
support, and care for patients with various lines and titrated IV
infusions. The nursing team must adapt quickly to varied patient
needs while delivering compassionate, multi-disciplinary care.
Isolation precautions and safety protocols are critical in this
setting. The average daily census is approximately 17 patients. The
unit comprises 18 beds and serves a diverse patient population with
various medical diagnoses. Collaboration with interdisciplinary
support teams, including respiratory services, physical therapy,
and pharmacy, is essential. Floating to other units may be required
