Opportunity – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry RN – New York Start
Date: February 16, 2026 Location: Rochester, New York Compensation:
Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Block scheduling
available (not guaranteed); every other weekend required;
day/evening ratios 5:1 (stretch 6-7), night ratios 6-7:1 (stretch
8-10) Highlights: 27-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit serving
adults and geriatric populations Common diagnoses include cardiac
disease, stroke, infection, pain management, and pulmonary embolism
Epic charting system; comprehensive interdisciplinary support
including IV teams, phlebotomy, physical therapy, respiratory
services, and rapid response teams Patient care technicians assist
with vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, EKGs, and activities of
daily living Float opportunities to medical-surgical, emergency
department, ICU (stable patients), and acute brain injury units
(stable patients) First-time travelers welcome with 1 year of
recent experience Requirements: Active New York RN license (must be
in hand prior to submission; pending licenses not accepted) BLS and
NIHSS certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent
medical-surgical/telemetry experience Epic charting experience
strongly preferred Competencies required: interpretation and
management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response teams, peripheral
line care/management, oxygen administration (nasal cannula, face
masks, portable tanks), non-invasive airway management, and
isolation precautions Experience with special equipment including
bladder scanners, telemetry monitors, EKG machines, and lifepacks
Must reside outside 75-mile radius from facility Charge experience
