Job Description Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist to support our client’s medical facility in Irving, TX . This is a 6 month contract with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist Location: Irving, TX 75063 Pay Rate: $35 - $40/hr. on W2. Duration: 6 Months Shift: Multiple days and shifts available *Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications. Key Responsibilities Follow all SOPs for specimen handling, processing, testing, and result reporting. Perform and document high-complexity testing using approved procedures. Review, verify, and release patient test results. Maintain accurate records for patient testing and proficiency testing. Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and all laboratory safety and regulatory guidelines. Follow quality control policies; document QC, calibrations, instrument maintenance, and corrective actions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting test performance; escalate when needed. Report STAT and critical results per department procedures. Provide support to clients or lab staff when applicable. Ensure proper labeling, dating, and tracking of reagents and test kits. Maintain department cleanliness and organization. Participate in training, competency assessments, departmental meetings, and regulatory inspections. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors. Qualifications BS in Medical Technology preferred; OR BS/BA in Chemistry/Biology; OR associate degree in Lab Science/Medical Technology; OR qualification under 42 CFR 493.1433. National certification (ASCP or AMT) REQUIRED.
