Job Description & Requirements Specialty: First Assist Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/14/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) – Operating Room Location: Rochester, NY 14642 Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 3x12-Hour Day Shifts (36 or 48 hours/week) On-Call: Required as per unit need (until 11:00 PM only) Weekends/Holidays: No weekends; holidays as per unit requirement Unit: Main OR – Da Vinci Robotic Surgery Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant) to join our surgical team in Rochester, NY. This role supports a dynamic and technologically advanced surgical department with a focus on Da Vinci robotic procedures. When not in the RNFA role, the candidate will fulfill duties as a Circulating and Scrub RN. Key Responsibilities: Assist surgeons intraoperatively, particularly in Da Vinci robotic procedures across multiple specialties. Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure safe and efficient care. Perform perioperative nursing functions, including circulating and scrubbing as needed. Participate in on-call duties (until 11:00 PM) and cover holidays as per rotation. Ensure all patient care meets regulatory and institutional standards. Required Qualifications: Active RN License – New York State ONLY Graduate of an accredited RN First Assistant program CNOR Certification – Required BLS (AHA only) – Required ACLS (AHA) – Preferred Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience (Level I trauma experience preferred) Technical Requirements: Da Vinci Robotic Surgery Experience Required in: Robotic Urology Robotic GYN Robotic Colorectal Robotic Surgical Oncology (Whipples, Gastrectomies, Hernias, etc.) Robotic Thoracic Robotic General Surgery (Gallbladders, Appendectomies) Compensation: Travelers Pay Package: $3,170.24/week total $46.84/hr. on W2 $1,484.00/week non-taxable travel stipend Flight Reimbursement: Up to $500 Local Pay (within 50 miles): $80.00/hr. on W2 Active RN License – New York State ONLY Graduate of an accredited RN First Assistant program CNOR Certification – Required BLS (AHA only) – Required ACLS (AHA) – Preferred Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience (Level I trauma experience preferred) About 3B Healthcare Inc.
