• Employment Type: TravelPosition Overview: - -The CVOR RN provides expert nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures. This role involves assisting in surgical operations, maintaining a sterile environment, and collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure safe and successful outcomes. -Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare operating rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are sterile and ready.
  • Assist surgeons during cardiovascular procedures, maintaining strict sterile technique.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and surgical site throughout the operation.
  • Administer medications and manage surgical instruments as directed.
  • Document all surgical activities, nursing care, and patient responses accurately.
  • Coordinate post-operative care and communicate patient needs to the recovery team.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.
  • Participate in preoperative planning and postoperative debriefings.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding surgical procedures and recovery processes.
