*Job Overview*:Workfit Medical is seeking a skilled and compassionate *TRAVEL* Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Medicine team in the Greater Buffalo area. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. This position offers an opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, responding to a wide range of medical emergencies.If you are looking to get started quickly on a 8-13 week assignment* up to $2500/week* Overtime potential* Quick start* Evenings/Nights*Key Responsibilities*:* Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.* Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care based on acuity and severity of illness or injury.* Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.* Monitor and evaluate patient progress, documenting care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).* Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.* Assist in emergency interventions, including CPR, advanced airway management, and trauma care.* Educate patients and their families on care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions.* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in the Emergency Department.* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education to stay current with best practices in emergency nursing.*Qualifications*:* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered.* Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in emergency or critical care nursing preferred.* BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.* PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)* Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.* Ability to work in a high-stress environment while maintaining composure and providing compassionate care.* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.* Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.*About the Greater Buffalo Area*:The Greater Buffalo area is known for its vibrant community, cultural attractions, and access to beautiful natural surroundings, including nearby Niagara Falls and Lake Erie.
