Job Summary:We are a group Optometry Private-Practice seeking a dedicated and experienced Optometrist to join our team in a fun work atmosphere. Our office is state-of-the-art with all high-tech equipment allowing the O.D.'s to practice the way they were taught in school The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages. The Optometrist will perform eye examinations, diagnose visual problems, and prescribe corrective lenses or other treatments as needed.Duties:- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and eye health-Manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, dry eye syndrome, keratoconus, myopia management.- Diagnose visual problems and ocular diseases- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, or other visual aids- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care- Educate patients on proper eye care techniques and preventive measures- Maintain accurate patient records and documentationExperience:- Previous experience working as an Optometrist preferred- Proficiency in ophthalmology and medical coding- Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations- Experience in senior care optometry is a plus- Strong sales skills to recommend appropriate eyewear products- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on providing exceptional service- Ability to work with aseptic technique when necessaryRequirements:- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school of optometry- Valid state optometry license- Board certification is a plus- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilitiesJoin our team as an Optometrist and make a difference in the lives of our patients while utilizing your expertise in eye care.
