Job Description:

Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive eye exams and vision tests for patients of all ages- Diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases- Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, or other vision aids as needed- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care- Educate patients on proper eye care techniques and preventive measures- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical record systems (Epic)- Stay updated on the latest advancements in optometry and attend continuing education coursesRequirements:- Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited optometry school- Valid state optometry license- Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and pathology- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive eye exams and diagnosing eye conditions- Experience with medical coding and billing procedures- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (Epic) is preferred but not requiredNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
