• Active status as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with the ARDMS or a Registered Cardiac Sonographer with the CCI.
• BLS required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a health related field
• Specialized training in sonography requiredRESPONSIBILITIES
  • Under direction of the department director, provides supervision of sonographers including hiring process, orientation, annual performance appraisals, and coaching opportunities as needed.
  • Initiates and leads the process to attain and maintain IAC accreditation for the echo lab, including IAC related QA processes and meetings. Maintains established department, hospital and IAC accreditation standards for (IAC) quality assurance and safe work practice measures for patients, procedures, and equipment.
  • Mentors and trains students and new employees to help them reach the standards of the department. Instructs, evaluates, and coaches cardiac sonographers to effectively carryout their responsibilities.
  • Ensures standardization of departmental protocols including staff orientation, training, in services, etc.
  • Ensures adequate maintenance with Clinical Engineering of all echo equipment and participates in equipment selection as necessary.
  • Fulfills professional obligations. Maintains all education, certification and regulatory requirements.ROCHESTER REGIONAL BENEFITS
