Your Role
As Regional Medical Director, you are a senior leader providing
oversite to one or more markets, developing and fine tuning our
clinical delivery model, ensuring it provides for the best clinical
care for patients. You invest time and energy into growing the
skillsets of clinical employees and drive for results clinically,
operationally, and financially. You oversee medical management,
drive for high marks in quality, manage an operational budget and
allocate resources necessary to run your market(s).
Primary functions for the RMD include:
- Oversees the clinical delivery model build out, enhancements,
and monitors and adjusts based on outcomes and metrics tied to
clinical, financial, and quality measures. Metrics include, but are
not limited it, medical loss ratio, utilization management,
quality, staffing, resource management and turnover.
- Assesses the model and clinical structure for continuous
improvement, focused on exceptional patient care, high level of
patient satisfaction, and operational efficiencies.
- Establishes strong community relationships with community-based
organizations, provider groups, and operational counterparts.
Leverages those relationship to drive for better patient care while
simultaneously growing our client's business and patient
population
- Provides direction and regional oversite to health care
professionals including registered nurses, nurse care managers,
health coaches, dieticians, pharmacists, psychiatrists, social
workers, cardiologist, podiatrists and other staff.
- Drives recruiting efforts at the regional level and focuses on
positive employee engagement and job satisfaction. Participates in
provider orientation, credentialing efforts, and continuing medical
education for employees across the region.
- Oversees risk management, HEDIS, NCQA, URAC, and AHCA
activities.
- Represents the interests of the clinical teams in the regions
to which you are assigned, including supporting the growth and
development of your teams' career aspirations.
- Continually grows the abilities of clinical staff with regard
to comprehensive management of patient conditions, including
assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation, on a
longitudinal basis
How You Qualify
- You have a strong working knowledge of local health plans,
provider groups, and community resources. You have demonstrated
experience building partnerships across the communities you
serve.
- You have managed clinical programs and contributed to the build
out and refinement of a clinical model focus on outcomes in
value-based care organizations.
- You have successfully led organizations to hit or exceed target
metrics related to financial, clinical and operational
goals.
- You understand and have led efforts around HEDIS, NCQA, URAC
and AHCA.
- You hold a degree from an accredited medical school with Board
Certification or Board Eligibility, with an unrestricted Physician
license to practice medicine in NY.
- You have a minimum of ten (10) years leading people and
organizations to success.
