We are looking to hire a Project Scheduler/Associate Project Manager located in Amherst, NY .
This is a high-level overview of the role we need you to fill for us :
The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Operations Department on tracking and communicating status on orders, including but not limited to, submittal and approval of shop drawings, material procurement lead times, and fabrication status to completion. This position will work directly with Project Managers and Engineers and liaise with Supply Chain, Customer Service and Manufacturing to maintain an overall WBA projects schedule. The candidate will also manage low complexity projects to ensure assigned projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner, and within contractual customer requirements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Receive and synchronize project schedules from Project Management and Production, create schedules for assigned projects, and coordinate with internal staff to resolve conflicts when necessary, on an on-going basis.


  • Monitor project life cycle of all activities and documents from project inception to completion, such as Contracts, Change Orders, Shop Drawings, Schedules, Billings, Invoices, and General Submittals.


  • Review and analyze contract plans, specifications, and other documentation on assigned projects to assess risk, limit exposure, and find areas of pick up.


  • Negotiate and ready for execution contracts on assigned projects.


  • Support digitalization development of Project Management process.


  • Issue project updates internally/externally and act as company spokesperson with customers, architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors when directed.


  • Provide jobsite technical service solutions on assigned projects.


    These skills and experiences will make you a good fit for this role:


    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field is required.


    • Minimum 5 years of experience in project coordination or management within a related field.


    • Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, purchase orders, contracts, codes, and standards.


    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software.Previous experience using SAP is preferred.Previous experience using ProCore or similar PM/DC software a plus.


    • Experience using Microsoft Project Software preferred.


    • Demonstrated knowledge of construction and manufacturing.


    • Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs.


    • Strong communication and time management skills; conflict resolution/management skills preferred.


    • Demonstrate initiative, take ownership of the process, and drive continuous improvement.


    • Possess the legal right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.


    • Ability to travel a plus.
