Job Description:

Dynabrade, Inc., a leading manufacturer of pneumatic and abrasive tools is looking for a Director of Human Resources to join our team.
The Director of Human Resources serves as Company HR Leader and is responsible for day-to-day HR activities, with an emphasis on performance management, full life cycle recruiting, benefits administration, and compensation management. The Director of Human Resources develops, implements, and evaluates HR policies, programs, functions, and activities, as well as ensures the organization is in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This position also assists with safety efforts and acts as co-chair for the safety committee.
Responsibilities:

Work closely with executive team and senior management to understand and deliver on Company strategy and direction, including performance management, employee development and employee engagement.
Administer all employee benefit programs, including conducting analysis and serving as primary contact with group health and welfare providers, FMLA, PFL, disability, workers' compensation, unemployment, and retirement plans. Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues as needed. Manage open enrollment.
Conduct recruitment efforts for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers. Post advertisements, work with supervisors to screen and interview candidates, conduct reference checks, extend job offers, conduct new-employee orientations, monitor career-path programs and employee relations counseling. Conduct exit interviews.
Responsible for performance management system and performance/feedback processes. Develop manager capability on employing these processes and obtaining best in class results.
Provide proactive guidance and counsel to managers and employees on employee relations issues.
Manage organization's safety efforts, including serving on the safety committee.
Introduce, lead and influence change management initiatives with management staff in order to address issues that will enhance overall performance.
Develop training plans and programs; organize training sessions, workshops, and activities.
Coach employees on subjects such as career, leadership and performance development plans, compensation matters and assist employees during implementation of change management initiatives.
Develop, prepare, generate, and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data, including issues such as benefits costs, staffing levels/deployment, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, applicant tracking, affirmative action/EEO, compensation, promotions, etc. Effectively utilize Paylocity system to obtain, store and analyze pertinent data and information.
Maintain electronic personnel records and information in compliance with legal requirements and company needs.
Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations. Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations as well as ensure timeliness and accuracy of required report filings.
Maintain required records, with a focus on driving initiatives to promote workforce inclusion and Company policies related to harassment and diversity.
Develop and manage Human Resources Generalist and Front Desk Administrative Assistant.



Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
5+ years of true Human Resources Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Driven and goal oriented. Ability to follow through on action items.
Competencies include teamwork, decision making, flexibility, motivation of others, optimism, organization, high performance, planning and ability to work independently.
MBA in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred.
PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP or SCP certification preferred.
