We are currently recruiting for a Director, US Oncology Marketing, Hematology Lead role in the US Oncology business. This role is a key leadership position and would need a seasoned commercial leader who will lead the development of the strategy and tactics as the US Hematology Lead. Key responsibilities would be to accelerate near-term sales for our leading immuno-oncology product with the current hematology indications and build a strong foundation for the future hematology franchise. This position will lead a team and report into the US Lead for the Prostate and Hematology franchise.

This position will require outstanding leadership in many different areas including branding, positioning, strategic planning, portfolio positioning and optimization, counter-competition, market shaping, go-to-market launch readiness plan, and cross-functional/ agencies collaboration. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, experienced marketer with a track record of commercial success and cross-functional team leadership.

Key Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

  • Lead the US Hematology franchise to maximize opportunity for our leading immuno-oncology product's current launch indication and future assets
  • Lead the strategic brand planning, brand positioning, portfolio positioning and go-to- market launch commercialization plan in collaboration with global and cross-functional colleagues
  • Partner with global team, market research, Competitive Intelligence and analytics team to generate key insights to build and enhance the HCP strategy and execution plan
  • Determine and execute within optimal Healthcare Provider promotional channels based on a deep understanding of customers, marketplace, competitors, and business drivers
  • Monitor, analyze, and synthesize key market dynamics in the rapidly evolving landscape
  • Develop short-term and long-term counter-competitive strategies/ plans in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and agencies
  • Proactively partner cross-functionally with other key stakeholders (e.g., sales, medical, market access, legal, regulatory, global commercial, and public affairs)
  • Escalate issues that represent significant barriers to execution and/or business impact
  • Challenge status quo and gain sponsorship/ support within the company to address gaps.

      Education Requirement:
      • Required: BA/BS
      • Preferred: MBA/MS

        Required Experience and Skills:
        • Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
        • Hematology/ Oncology marketing experience
        • Strong marketing skills including developing marketing strategies, executing tactics, performance tracking, competitive planning and accountability for product growth
        • Ability to understand, interpret, and translate complex clinical data into clear communications
        • Strategic thinker with innovative mindset and ability to make critical decisions and recommendations among a range of strategic choices
        • Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/ priorities
        • Strong relationship building, problem solving, innovative thinking, teamwork, and analytical
        • Strong written/verbal communication skills and experience presenting in high-visibility settings
        • Strength managing complexity and multiple competing priorities
        • Experience influencing without direct authority and working successfully with cross- functional teams and multiple agency partners
        • Requires up to 20% travel, including some weekends

          Preferred Experience and Skills:
          • Launch experience with new products/ indication
          • Direct customer experience (sales, sales leadership, etc.)
          • Test-and-learn mindset to drive a culture of innovation
