JOB TITLE : Senior Manager, Oracle Finance Systems Candidates who hold a H1B Visa and are in the US can apply JOB SUMMARY Provides Oracle functional track leadership managing resources and ensuring completion of deliverables and tasks for all aspects of the global Oracle ERP program (OneVision) within the financials area of accountability (AR, AP, CE, EB Tax, General Ledger and Sub-Ledger Accounting, Fixed Assets, Projects, Cost Management, Intercompany, month end close processes including reporting, etc.). The IT Sr Manager Oracle Financials provides architectural guidance to the Business System Analyst team that reports to them (direct employees as well as service integrator and third-party contractors) and partners 2-in-a-box with the business transformation team to define the best solution to clients requirements. They partner with the program and project management team to assign resources from their specific functional track to complete deliverables and work activities and participates directly, as needed, to ensure the best outcomes for the program and the company. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reviews and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems/technologies and develops strategies for improving or leveraging these systems by leveraging Oracle ERP capabilities as well as integrated systems Play an active leadership role in the design process in refining our business process to take advantage of Oracle s and integrated systems capabilities Design, recommend, and evaluate proposed architecture and integration solutions in and out of the ERP within functional areas of accountability Work closely with other track leads (cross-track) to formulate the best overall solutions Conducts deep dive reviews within and across teams to ensure cohesion within the overall solution Able to drive team to a highly efficient and cohesive working unit Responsible for planning and executing a significant portion of the global ERP implementation, in partnership with our chosen ERP solution integrator and business process leaders Has or is able to develop mastery of Oracle ERP capabilities and the capabilities of the set of systems in clients specific production ecosystem (within functional area of accountability) Ensure multiple phases of the program are scoped, defined, resourced, and delivered to support objectives of the overall ERP program Constantly monitors the progress of the team and makes timely corrective actions to ensure risks and issues are being avoided Prepares and communicates status to stakeholders and project/program leaders in a regular and meaningful cadence Partners with IT Leadership team to develop a plan for internal IT and business teams to become self-sufficient in ERP skills and knowledge Experience managing applications and projects using a structured systems methodology and IT general controls framework Experience managing a diverse team of individuals located across geographies; experience working in a cross-disciplinary environment with strong opinions and personalities POSITION QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Possess a thorough understanding of and expertise in the management and delivery of: Global Oracle ERP implementations In depth Oracle R12 knowledge in core functions related to area of accountability Key concepts in medical device manufacturing Transformation programs with large scale change Other desirable skills Include: Leadership presence; commands respect through exercise of sound judgment and clear decision-making. Experience with cultural, organizational and business process change efforts Ability to work across multiple groups and broad functional areas to obtain buy-in and support, communicate and provide leadership for implementing capabilities Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines Excellent Knowledge of the business enterprise functions and processes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of Oracle R12 technical stack and technologies Ability to adapt to a fast and dynamic environment. Ability to effectively translate between functional and technical teams Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent time management Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail. People Management (managed teams in the past) Ability to suggest technological best/proven practices WORK ENVIRONMENT Normal office environment. Sedentary to light physical effort necessary to perform the job. Extensive contact with employees and external business partners and vendors. Frequently subjected to irregular hours and pressure due to time demands 25%-50% travel required (varies with implementations) EDUCATION Bachelors or Master s Degree in Computer Sciences, Management Information Systems, or Business Administration EXPERIENCE 10-15 years implementation experience for commercial, distribution and/or manufacturing applications in Life Sciences or other manufacturing industries (Life Sciences preferred) 5-7 years experience in a leadership role with responsibility for global enterprise systems teams and external partners Extensive global Oracle ERP implementation experience financials modules focus within manufacturing and/or distribution environment Previous experience in a business functional role (e.g., Financial Controller, Accountant) will be considered a significant differentiator - provided by Dice
