One of our True North initiatives is the development of workforce management for the enterprise, which will continue as a sustainable capability within our Operational Excellence function. We are seeking a Director of Workforce Management Standards and Analytics to join the team and define enterprise processes, frameworks and standards for forecasting, labor standards, reporting, planning and workforce KPIs. This is an exciting opportunity to build and sustain the workforce management and planning capability, and play an important role in driving value for the organization.

This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Buffalo, NY and to ensure we find and hire the right person we are accepting remote applicants with availability to travel up to 50%.

ResponsibilitiesIn steady state, measures results against value case and/or enterprise targets and uses expert analytical methods to identify and explain deviations. Supports labor forecasting and annual budget process improving business performance by improving forecast models. Benchmarks workforce management performance.

Oversees the development, implementation and monitoring of workforce management programs across all of Operations through the establishment of success metrics and operational scorecards.
Leads and supports workforce planning data analytics to advance evidence- based decision making.
Responsible for effectively managing the reporting and analytics operations within workforce management.

Responsible for analyses and actionable insights to improve business performance as well as the analytics and data reporting capabilities across the enterprise related to workforce management activities.
Drives the execution and adoption of workforce management reporting initiatives.
Leverages data analysis results to promote a culture of accountability.
Performs analysis to determine the impact of business model changes, identify opportunities to improve client service and/or efficiency and to understand shifts in trends.
Supports new business due diligence and understanding impact of new business or collective bargaining agreements on workforce management performance
Creates reports designed to interpret Operations performance including, but not limited to, data relating to demand forecasting, workflow optimization, scheduling, productivity, headcount, capacity planning and workforce compliance/adherence.
Provides leadership to the workforce management standards team responsible for assuring the creation of value from workforce management strategies.
Identifies, hires, leads, manages and retains a high performing team to drive business solutions.
Partners with workforce management operations team and local operations to optimize the workforce planning function, including demand forecasts and schedules.

QualificationsMinimum of 7 years in data or financial analysis required, preferably in retail, food service or hospitality business.
Previous experience and strong knowledge in workforce management, planning, forecasting and labor scheduling
General statistics knowledge and familiarity with trending, time-series analysis and regression analysis preferred.
Strong relationship, influencing and stakeholder management skills - the ability to partner effectively with operations leaders.
Demonstrated analytical, planning and decision-making skills.
Well-developed negotiating and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with Kronos preferred
Proficient in the use of Windows and Microsoft Office with an emphasis on advanced/expert level proficiency in Excel. Preferred experience with SaaS or other data modeling tools and dashboarding tools.
High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred.
