Job Title: CNC Machinist Location: Fairport, NY Summary: We are seeking skilled CNC Machinists for a well-established manufacturing facility in Fairport, NY. This is a full-time, direct hire position offering a 4-day workweek (Fridays off) . Candidates must have set-up experience (not just button-pushing), the ability to read precision measurement tools, and be comfortable working with computers and decimal-based measurements. Shifts Available: 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM Pay: $22.00 – $32.00 per hour (depending on experience) Core Duties & Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC mill and lathe machines Perform first-piece and in-process inspections Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Utilize micrometers, calipers, and gauges for precision measurement Operate with minimal supervision and follow detailed work instructions Maintain a clean and safe work environment Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience (set-up required) Proficient with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and measurement tools Comfortable using computers and working with decimals Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents Key Competencies: Dependability and strong attendance Attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Regular use of hands and arms for machine operation Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs Ability to read fine measurements and part features Benefits Include: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with company match (50% up to 6%) Paid vacation and 8 paid holidays Company-paid Life Insurance, Short-Term, and Long-Term Disability Benefits start Day 1 (excluding 401k) Monthly Employee Appreciation Events (Breakfast, Lunch, etc.) OT Availability on Fridays Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
