A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Tool Maker. Position Type: Full time Contract. Duration: 06-12 months Location: Rochester, NY As a Tool Maker, you will be: Candidate must possess a machining and fabrication background and ability to work within tight tolerance specifications. Scope is focused on the timely execution of assigned tasks as an individual contributor and function well within a team environment. This role involves working directly with engineers on the design, development, and fabrication of new and existing products to optimize design for manufacturability. Read engineering drawings/blueprints/schematics and detailed work instructions. Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation. Mechanically inclined, and be able to work with very fragile and precise assemblies Speaks clearly and concisely, presenting ideas effectively to individuals or groups. Demonstrates appropriate computer knowledge. Understands and adheres to established policies, procedures, and proper labor charging practices. Perform as an individual contributor as well as within a team environment. Proficient with operating Mills, surface grinder and lathe. Preferred Additional Skills: Skilled Journeyman's Certification. Experience in an Electrical/Mechanical/Optical fabrication discipline. Aerospace or Defense industry experience. Experience with CNC programming utilizing MasterCAM. Experience working with composite materials. Experience with MIG/TIG welding. Experience with sheet metal fabrication An Ideal candidate will have High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience or 2 years post- Secondary/Associates Degree with 2 to 4 years of prior related experience.
