Ingenium Technologies - Buffalo, NY - primary site, but position can be in AZ, CO, CA or ALAdditional Job Postings: http://www.ingeniumtech.com/staffing/A Propulsion Engineer is needed for a Leading Edge Aerospace company to develop rocket engines and propulsion systems compatible with green propellant. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Subject matter expert-level role, operating as a member of the Propulsion Engineering team. Working on space hardware, particularly rocket engines and propulsion systems compatible with green propellantLead and/or contribute to the overall engine and propulsion system design and analysis necessary to support customer missions that use green propellants.Provides technical oversight and guidance to the team of engineers executing the project, however based on needs of the business, the incumbent may be asked to be part of the project execution team.Plan the overall test campaign necessary to demonstrate compliance to customer requirements.Mentor and coach other engineers in the design of various components compatible with green propellant.Participate in trade shows and write or contribute to the generation of conference papers.Required Software: MS OfficeRequired Experience:10 years of design and/or project engineering experience with rocket engines, components, and/or propulsion systems compatible with green propellants.A track record of success and demonstrated competency and direct experience with designing rocket engines and propulsion systems.Experience designing, building, and testing propulsion systems with green propellants is desired, as is experience with the impact of typical green propellants on design requirements for components such as valves, regulators, propellant tanks, and other hardware. Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance due to the type of work completed by the company's space sector.Required Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering M.S. or Ph.D. preferred.Position: Direct HireTravel: 20% domestic and international requiredCompensation: Highly Competitive with BenefitsLocation: Buffalo, NYprimary location (position could be California, Colorado, Arizona or Alabama with requisite travel requirements) - relocation eligibleEmployment Criteria: This position includes access or potential access to ITAR technical data.
